Chris phoned me Friday night to say that he have been released for 48 hours of "Liberty Time". He wanted me to drive up to San Antonio to see him. I called Marc, my co-worker (whom should have had Saturday off as well) to see if he could switch days off with me so that I could see Chris. He said yes, and I was off!!! I arrived at the hotel about 10:45 at night. We were too tired to do anything, so we just went to sleep. The following morning, we went downstairs to eat breakfast, and headed out to Wal-Mart to get Chris a few things he needed for the academy. We ate lunch at Joe's Crab Shack and relaxed the rest of the day. So, today, we just relaxed some more and had lunch at Carraba's before he had to go back to the base. Tristan, our boy to be, was so shy this weekend. There were times that he'd throw a few jabs that I knew Chris would have been able to feel, but once his hand touched my belly - there was no movement.

2pm came too quickly and we went our separate ways. I got home at 4:15. It was so nice seeing him even for a little over a day, I know we both needed a re-charge. Chris more than me. My re-charge was to see him, and well Chris needed to re-charge his body. He only has 20 days left and he'll be home. I'm so proud of him, his accomplishments and everything he's doing for our little family. Good-byes are my weakness. But 2nd good-byes? Forget it! I just can't wait for him to come on home!!!

I'm glad you guys could spend sometime together! I hope the time goes by quickly for you both! If you are going crazy and need to talk, we are here for you! Love you guys!
Like I've said before, I know exactly how you feel :) It's wonderful to see each other even for that short while but very difficult to separate again. I can hardly believe that Curtis has been gone for 11 months now. It really has gone faster than I thought and I know if you keep yourself busy the time will fly for you too :)
I am sooooo glad you two were able to spend some time together! I sure worry about Chris. Man, they are tough on them! I'm really proud of him too! When he makes up his mind to do something, HE DOES IT 100%
It's funny that Tristan doesn't move when ya want him too! Typical kid! LOL
