A 1st X 2 for Chris and me

We had our FIRST today at Sacrament Meeting.
There was an investigator that decided that he wanted to share his testimony today. The first thing that I noticed is that his shirt was un-tucked and as he was walking up to the pulpit, he stuffed his tie in his pant pocket. He began to share his testimony... I don't remember it word for word, but he wanted to share a poem he wrote because he heard the rest of the congregation share their testimonies. He said, "you guys can clap or something if you like it-or I don't know". He went on with his poem, and it was nice, I mean it was about our Savior. But the weird thing was that was reciting it as if he were rapping it. He was talking with his hands as you would see in rapping videos. Then at the very end, some people clapped. Next we saw how disgusted the new Branch President was. Kind of odd. The brother whom followed after him thanked him for the poem and in a classy way, he expressed how it was inappropriate to clap in the chapel.
A little strange for Sacrament meeting.

WOW! That is strange! I remember when I was dating Tony, he came to my ward and we were sitting in the back and a lady came in after the meeting started and the speaker was talking up front and she started yelling at him and telling us we were wrong etc. The gentleman speaking just ignored her and kept on talking and several brethren got up and quietly escorted her out. It was the 1st time I'd ever witnessed that kind of behavior.

Was he a visitor, because if he was, more power to him! Stillman and I had a very strange ward when we were first married. The Organist would play like he was in carnagie hall. He would play so loud and exuberant that you couldn't hear yourself sing. He would also play circus music for the reverence songs. One day a little girl was dancing in the isle. Also in that ward I saw a woman answer her phone and have a conversation during the sacrament meeting. on another day she also put all her makeup on during the sacrament. That ward also still passed the microphone for Testimony meeting so no one had to go up to the stand.
